Established in 2017 and born of a flaming dumpster of a year, Born of Bad is an apparel label made and printed in America by unapologetic female baddies who are reclaiming ownership over the dialogue made about women through fashion. We believe in creating language and style to provide framework for confidence, bossiness, and general unfuckwittableness for all women and people with marginalized gender identities.
Born of Bad founder Kristen Gray left the retail apparel industry in 2016 for Ann Arbor, Michigan’s vibrant technology community, but has not lost her passion for empowerment through fashion, authenticity in the customer experience, and ethics in manufacturing. She runs and operates this shop from her home office on the North Side, and thrives off your excitement about the label and your unapologetic boldness to stand for your values.
